Harold Cecil Groves Jr.

Harold Cecil Groves Jr., age 66, of Waynesville, North Carolina passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Duke University Hospital. Harold was born on April 14, 1957, in Lorain, OH to Shirley Jean Bollman Groves Tuscano and the late Harold Groves Sr. He enjoyed anything and everything "Florida State Seminoles", listening to Blues Music, camping in his Air Stream, going on cruises, and fishing. Most of all Harold loved his family and friends.

In addition to his father, Harold was preceded in death by his step-father, Phil Tuscano.

In addition to his mother, Harold is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Kathy Gilg Groves; sons, Harold C. Groves III (Samantha) and Bryan R. Groves (fiance, Michelle); sisters, Brenda Smith (Wayne) and Kim Wilkerson; brother, Larry Tuscano; grandchildren, Wyatt Groves and Ella Groves; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 5, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Becky Brown officiating.

The family would like to offer a special word of thanks to Dr. Deborah Sudan, Dr. Cristina Segovia and the rest of the transplant team at Duke University Hospital.
