Gordon Dean Hargrove

Gordon Dean Hargrove of the Bethel community went to his heavenly home on Saturday September 28th 2024. Gordon was a blessing born early on Christmas morning in 1959 in Newport News, Virginia. He was the son of Bradwin and Ruby Hargrove.

The family moved back to the Bethel community when he was 1 year old. Gordon attended Bethel grade school and graduated from Pisgah High School in 1978. Gordon was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was our rock, our go to man for everything and he could fix anything. He always put everyone else’s needs before his own. He was truly a blessing to all and his memory and smile will forever shine in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father Bradwin Hargrove and his brother Jimmy Hargrove.

He is survived by his mother Ruby Hargrove, and sisters: Patsy Miller (Jimmy), Avis Hargrove (Jerry Miller), Joyce Hargrove, Kathy Cogburn (Barry). His daughters Crystal Nichols (Will), Jenifer Hargrove, Mariah Hargrove; grandchildren Cayla, Hunter, Tanner, and Sadie; as well as many nieces, nephews and good friends.

The family will receive friends from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday October 5th 2024 at Riverside Baptist Church, 2171 Lake Logan Rd, Waynesville, NC, 28786. A private graveside service will be held immediately following.
