Waynesville, NC-Donna Ann McDermott Towsey, a long-time resident of the Haywood County, passed away Tuesday, August 1, at Maggie Valley Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 4, 1956 in New York, New York, Donna received her Degree in Business Administration from Montreat College in 2001. She was a part of the Lake Junaluska family for 20 years before she retired in 2015. Donna loved cooking and socializing, enjoyed her book club and being the life of the party. Donna had a beautiful smile that could light up any room. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Zachary McCarter and Lauren Flowe, and friends located all over the world who brought great joy to her life.
