Our beloved David Homer Bryan went home to be with his Savior after complications from an emergency heart surgery on December 21st, 2022. He was preceded by his father, William Homer Bryan and mother, Dorothy Lucille (Page) Bryan. Left to live on his legacy are brothers Kirk Bryan (Charmin) and Jeffrey Bryan; son, David; daughters, Sharista (Timothy) and Tera; grandchildren, Taiban, Sakura, Tobin, and Suki; nephew, Connor (Samantha); and nieces, Erica, Kelsey, and Claudia; great-nephew, Dexter; as well as countless friends many of whom he considered family. Dave loved his Lord fiercely and could be found daily reading his Bible; a pastime he practiced for his daughters. He will be remembered as someone who loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, white-water rafting, and mountain climbing. He never went anywhere without a harmonica, playing it at most social events. He loved to teach others and was known for his lengthy explanations on virtually any topic inquired about. His mission statement was:
“I will be a friend and helper to others by pushing myself to do my utmost best at all times.
I will constantly learn and improve on my spiritual character and intellect through study, meditation, and prayer.
I will lead others by serving them and putting their welfare before my own.
I will pursue peace, joy, and Love in every aspect of life through my attitude and behavior.”
For anyone who knew Dave, knew that he always put one hundred and ten percent into all that he did. He is rejoicing with angels today because of his incredible life and legacy. Upon completion of his journey here on this earth, there is no doubt that when arriving at those pearly gates he heard, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at AHOP Church in Xenia, Ohio, on January 21, 2023 at 2:00pm. For more information or to share stories, pictures or quotes please email Sharista Houston at [email protected].
