Carole Ann (Wright) Bennett died at home on August 2nd, 2022, surrounded by her family after a brave 4-year battle with cancer. She was 83. She was born in Metheun, Massachusetts on September 22, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Mona (Lewis) Wright.
She lived most of her you life, married and had children in New Hampshire. She started a career as a travel agent which ignited her life long love for travel. She moved to New York then Florida still working as a travel agent, eventually working for Carnival Cruise Line. At age 50 she got a masters degree in Clinical Sociology and became a licensed Clinical Social Worker. She retired and moved to the Balsam Mountain area in early 2000 where she put her passions into gardening and "taking care of her birds". She loved the mountains and it is where she wanted to "take her last breath". She was also an accomplished cook and would often hear, "Carole, you've outdone yourself again." She had a love of all animals. She was very spiritually connected. She loved to dance. She was elegant. She will be missed more than words can say by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Richard C. Bennett, her son, Timothy S. Clairmont, her beautiful 4-legged girls, Molly and Macie.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy S. Urquiza of Ocala, Florida, her sister/cousin, Jennifer Drabek, of Waynesville, and her beloved cat, Rodney.
