Carol Ann Blake Allen

Hendersonville-Carol Blake Allen, 73, of Hendersonville, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Park Ridge Hospital. Carol was born in Bath, New York on July 31, 1941, to the late James Fredrick Blake, Sr. and the late Gertrude Wheaten Blake. She loved caring for children, especially her grandchildren. Carol also loved playing card games, working puzzles, camping, and spreading joy to those around her. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Alton Allen; two sons, Robert Allen and Bradley Allen (Susan); a daughter, Penny Duberstein; a brother, James Fredrick Blake, Jr.; three grandchildren, Cory Harrell, Cassandra Harrell, and Blake Duberstein; and one great-grandchild, Madisen Sasko. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 13, at Mills River United Methodist Church with the Reverend Paige Ann Miller officiating. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 PM at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Waynesville. Memorial contributions may be made to MemoryCare at 100 Far Horizons Lane, Asheville, NC 28803.
