Waynesville-Betty Seay Wyatt, 76, died on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at The Homestead. Betty was born in Madison County on August 22, 1941, to the late Wiley and Laurie Parton Seay. Betty enjoyed working puzzles, gardening, and playing bingo. She was a faithful member of Camp Branch Freewill Baptist Church where she attended until her health declined. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Conner; her last husband, Steve Wyatt; and her sisters, Hattie Swanger, Pauline Conner, and Helen Conard. Betty is survived by her son, Tommy Conner and his wife Cindy; brothers, Bill and Hubert Shelton; sisters, Christine Lanning, Mae Babin, and Minnie Manous; and grandsons, Nathan and Joshua. A memorial service celebrating Betty’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 26, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend George Dewitt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
