Waynesville-Betty Bryson Fisher, 90 went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 13, 2020, at her residence. Betty was born in Jackson County on December 27, 1929, to the late Napoleon and Annie Plott Bryson. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and sewing. Betty loved going camping with Jack and was known to catch a few more fish than he did. Most of all, Betty loved her Lord and attending Balsam Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angela Kaye Fisher; a brother, Leonard Bryson; and sisters, Ruby McCall, Maudie Bryson, Lillian James, Ollie Jane McClure, Virginia Lowe, and Clara Shuler.
Betty is survived by her husband of 71 years, Jack Fisher; son, Mike Fisher; daughter, Debbie Fisher; sisters, Norma Ashe (Ken); brother, Arnold Bryson (Connie); granddaughter, Kimberley Wise (Billy); and great-grandchildren, Makenna, Hadleigh, and Asher Wise.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Greg Cullen officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The visitation will be private.
