She was born February 15, 1925 in Aleppo Township, a daughter of the late Clarence W. Lohr and Nancy Bunguard Lohr Pierson.
Mrs. Cook was a homemaker, but had previously worked at the former Day Care at the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg and Buckheimer’s Sewing in Cameron, WV.
She was a former Democrat Committeewoman in Jackson Township. She was a member of the Aleppo Brethren Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Waynesburg Volunteer Fire Company and the Wind Ridge CB Club.
On October 14, 1943 she married Harold L. Cook, who died February 28, 2005.
Also surviving are two sons, Dale B. Cook and wife Judy of Waynesburg, and Don R. Cook of Mather; three grandsons, Douglas B. Cook and his wife Nicole, Chadwick R. Cook, and Christopher J. Cook and his wife Lorri; two great-grandsons, Dunovan and Brodey Cook; a sister, Wanda McClelland of Holbrook.
Deceased is a sister, Mildred Parry and a brother Harold McClelland Lohr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, in the Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High Street, Waynesburg, with the services being held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with the Pastor Bradley Edgar officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
