He was born January 21, 1946 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Clarence Vernon Anderson and Frances Gertrude Rutan Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a U. S. Army veteran and had served in Vietnam and Korea.
He had worked as a security guard at Robena Mine and as a taxi driver for Central Cab.
Mr. Anderson resided most of his life in Greene County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Amanda Stoneking (Daniel) of Carmichaels, Trudy Jacobs (Scott ) of Johnstown, and Susan; 3 sons, Jason Morris (Autumn Jacobs) of Wind Ridge, John Rollison of Morgantown, WV. , and Vernon Anderson Jr. (Rose) of Carmichaels; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchild; two brothers, Ronnie Anderson of the state of Washington and Sylvester “Doug” Anderson (Lois) of Texas; 5 sisters, Shirley Dailey of Mt. Morris, Sue Morris, Jean Morris, Viola Fordyce, and Luella Redman all of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews
Deceased are 3 sisters, Opal Henderson, Lucille Fox, and Betty Anderson; 2 brothers, Larry “Jack” Anderson, and Duane Anderson; and 2 daughters, Alice and Michelle.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Thursday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, where services will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday January 27, 2017 with Rev.
