Marian L. Kughn

Marian L. Kughn, age 94, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania went home to be with the Lord at 6:50 AM on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born December 8, 1929, a daughter of the late Edmund Stephenson Barclay and Margaret Lockhart Barclay. She lived in the Waynesburg area all of her life. Marian was a member of the Claughton Chapel United Methodist Church , where she served as treasurer of the church for more than 50 years. She was very well known for her quilting and needle point work over the years. She was a member of the Whiteley Twp. Farm Women, and was a leader and organizer of The Busy Bee Youth Group and Vacation Bible Schools. Marian had also worked at the Berkowitz Pajama Factory and was a cook for the Central Greene School District. She was a loving homemaker. Her Husband: Keith Brock Kughn, whom she married on October 5, 1956 died on April 1, 2021. Surviving are 3 Children: Frederick Keith and Michelle Kughn of Franklinton, NC, Clara Jane and Gary Babb of Bobtown, PA, Ernest Ray and Tina Kughn of Spraggs, PA, 1 Daughter-in-Law: Nancy Kughn of Waynesburg, PA, 3 Grandkids: Brian Keith and Kimberly Kughn, Andrew Chad Kughn, Bradley Shane and Katie Kughn, 4 Great-Grandchildren: Paisley Ann Kughn, Wilton Keith Kughn, Aubrey Remington Kughn and Everett Shane Kughn, 2 Step Grandchildren: Chase Wurl, Alyssa Walls, 2 Step Great Granddaughters: Aurora Dawn Horowitz and Luna Louella Horowitz, her angel that helped take care of her: Donna Pettit, 2 Brothers: John Barclay and David Barclay, 2 Sister-in-Laws: Patricia Barclay and Mary Kughn and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are: 1 Son- Edmund Jackson Kughn, 3 Sisters- Martha Pettit, Sarah Lightner and one who died in infancy, 4 Brothers- Clarence Barclay, Harold Barclay, James Barclay and one who died in infancy. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers, Director. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Claughton Chapel United Methodist 1552 Big Shannon Run Rd. Waynesburg, PA 15370 with her service being held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kenneth Haines officiating. Burial will be held in Claughton Cemetery, Waynesburg, PA 15370 The family suggests memorials be made to Claughton Chapel United Methodist Church P.O.
