He was born March 9, 1969 in Waynesburg a son of the late Harry Thomas and Margaret Katherine Vedis of Greene County. He was the foster son of Patricia Rogers of Coraopolis.
On September 11, 1997 he married Tina Louise Conklin who survives.
Mr. Thomas worked as an over the road truck driver for Freeport Transport.
He had served in the Army National Guard at Waynesburg and was a member of American Legion Post 330 of Waynesburg.
Surviving in addition to his mother, foster mother, and wife are a daughter, Chyenne Thomas of Waynesburg three sons, Dakotta Thomas and Apatchi Thomas both of Waynesburg, and Timothy Thomas at home; one granddaughter Malayah Hilliard; one grandson, A.J. Hilliard; three brothers, Richard Thomas of Ohio, Herbert Smitley of New Jersey, and Lee Jay of West Virginia; three sisters, Gale Gardiner of Ohio, Melissa Justice of Ohio, and Tina Jay of Holbrook; two foster brothers, James Husk of Ohio, and Harry Husk of Crucible; and a foster sister, Kathy Halajcio of Coraopolis.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church, 169 West College St., Waynesburg with Rev. William Sukolsky officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 330 of Waynesburg.
