He was born April 27, 1916, in Greene County, a son of John H. and Judith Murphy Glover.
Mr. Glover worked for Equitable Gas Company Compressing Station in Rogersville from December 27, 1941 until his retirement May 1, 1981. At the time of his retirement, his job title was Crew Leader.
His wife, Nellie Jane Santee Glover, whom he married on March 27, 1937, in Cumberland, Maryland, is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Hugh Jackson (Sharon) Glover of Canonsburg; two daughters, Shirley Rose (Gene) Miller of Sycamore and Patricia Ann Glover of Bentleyville; four grandchildren, Cayci Louise Roland (Rob) Gorlitsky of Charleston, SC, Christine (Michael) McCauley of New Freeport, Charles Roy Cramer Jr. of Foley MO, and Vicky Null of Kittanning; 7 great-grandchildren; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Deceased are sisters, Mary Elizabeth Cummings, Ethel Flo “Toots” Bailey, and Ellen Elizabeth Cumberledge; brothers, James Delbert Glover and Harlis Earl Glover; half-sister, Opal Pearl Evans Jacobs, and half-brother, Ben Franklin Evans.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013 with Rev. Ben Williamson officiating followed by burial at Bethany Cemetery at Holbrook.
