He was born Saturday, February 7, 1920 in Washington,PA a son of the late Steve Stevens and Alma Mae Dagg Stevens.
He belonged to the Purple Heart Organization, and was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II in the 77th Infantry. He was a plumber for many years and enjoyed spending time with family, boating and camping. He supported St. Jude's Children's Hospital with his wife for many years. He loved spending time with his dog Cody. He also loved water skiing and roller skating whenever he was able. His wife: Evelyn Mae Stevens whom he married in 1969 died December 27, 2016. Surviving are 1 Daughter: Kim Dulaney of Pittsburgh, PA. 3 Sons: James T. (Alison) Stevens II of Richeyville, PA, Brandon (Kylee) Stevens of Washington, PA and Terry (Judy) Stevens of Washington, PA. 1 Grandson: Mark (Erica) Stevens of Bentleyville, PA. Deceased: 1 Daughter: Sharon Leonard and 1 Sister: Jane Grimm
Friends will be received from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM the time of service on Friday, July 13, 2018 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370 with Pastor Scott Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery, Waynesburg, PA.
