Eva L Stephenson

Eva L. Stephenson of Waynesburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2024 in her home.

She was born September 9, 1929, the daughter of the late Della Phillips Crouse and Clarence H. (Shader) Crouse and grew up in Rogersville. On October 5, 1944, Eva married Robert L. Stephenson at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Oakland Maryland; he preceded her in death on November 9, 1983. Eva worked in the Register and Recorder's Office for Thomas Headlee until retirement. She had previously worked as a secretary in various offices at Waynesburg College. She was a member of Fairall United Methodist Church, where she served as pianist for 48 years.

Surviving are her son, Robert L. Stephenson, II and wife, Carol Gusic Stephenson; daughter-in-law, Donna Mathason Stephenson; grandchildren, Shellee Beth Bloomquist (Seth), Robert L. Stephenson, III (Kristi), James Edwin Stephenson (Leigh Ann), Scott Mathew Stephenson; granddaughter-in-law, Nicole Stephenson; great-grandchildren, Mary Kate, Cole, Cade, Coy, Caleb, Nate, Sarah, Jacob, Elizabeth, Bria, Gianna, Bobby J., Madison, Lane, and Danni; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Danny Paul Stephenson; grandson, Justin Ben Stephenson; sister, Mary Orndoff (Ralph), and brother, Paul Crouse (Bonna Jo).

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, December 5 at 10 AM followed by a funeral service officiated by the Reverend Donald Wilson at 12 PM at Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High St., Waynesburg, PA 15370; interment to follow at Fairall Cemetery.
