David Gordon Wood

He was born Sunday, August 12, 1951 in Waynesburg,PA. A son of the late Donald G. Wood and Sylvia Bardon Wood.

Mr. Wood was affiliated with the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of the last class to graduate from the old Waynesburg High School class of 1969. He then graduated from the Vale Tech Auto Body and Mechanic School. He was a member and Past Director of the Waynesburg Sportsman Club and a life member of the Antique Auto Club of America. He also served on the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Board. He was a member and Past Master of the Waynesburg Masonic Lodge #153 F&AM having served as Master in 1978. He owned and operated the Wood Auto Repair in Waynesburg for 34 years and was known for being able to fix anything mechanical.

He is survived by his Wife: Sheila Lynn Woods Wood, whom he married on September 30, 1974., 1 Daughter: Elaine L. (Joseph) Russo of Memphis, TN., 1 GrandSon: Antonio "Tex" J. Russo, 1 Sister: Judith (Dale) Conkling, of Cleveland , OH., 1 Brother: Clinton J. "Tim" (Vickie) Rogers, of Cleveland, OH.,

and several nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his friend from 8th grade John and Cindi Cox,, and Randy and Elissa Gooden,, Jr.and Emma Barchiesi,, and Bryan and Elaine Cumberledge and all their families as well as several other friends.

At the request of the family visitation and services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with Rev. William Parker officiating. Burial will be at the Mt.
