Arthur H. "John" Bedilion Jr., age 79, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania passed away at 1:17 PM on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. John was born March 26, 1944 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania a son of the late Arthur H. Bedilion and Haddie Dale Lippencott Bedilion. John was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lippencott, PA. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam. John was a lifetime member of the Waynesburg VFW #4793 and DAV #123. He was also a member of the Jefferson American Legion for 55 years.John enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He really enjoyed spending time with his family. For over 30 years he worked as a boss in various coal mines. His Wife: Bonnie King Bedilion, whom he married on August 30, 1969 survives. Also surviving are 4 Daughters: Tricha Leary of Waynesburg, PA, Trina Bedilion of Waynesburg, PA, Gina (Alan) Rafail of Waynesburg, PA and Roxanne Bedilion of Canonsburg, PA, 6 Grandchildren: Mary Kate (Mark) McArdle, Mike (Christy) Rafail, Eli (Kayla) Rafail, Parker Ann Wadding, Trenton Bedilion Zupper and Jillie Wadding, 1 Great-Granddaughter: Olivia McArdle, 1 Sister: Ena Shawley, 1 Brother: Daniel F. (Vicky) Bedilion and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are 3 Sisters: Betty Yoders, Barbara Bedilion and Kay who died in infancy and 4 Brothers: Gary L. Bedilion, Delbert E. "Zeke" Bedilion, Charles S. Bedilion and Arthur Dale who died in infancy. There will be visitation from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 3, 2024 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St. Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers, Director where services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Nick Bardo officiating. Arthur will be laid to rest in Smith Cemetery, Morgan Township, PA 15370. Graveside military rites to be accorded by Greene County Veterans and active members of the US Army. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Waynesburg VFW Post #4793 445 E. Lincoln St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 in John's honor.
