William Eugene Clark

William Eugene Clark, 64, of Waynesboro, passed away on Wednesday August 29, 2012 at Augusta Health.

Mr. Clark was born on November 13, 1947 in Waynesboro, and was a son of the late Tom and Mary (Widener) Clark. He worked for Polybond for many years, prior to his retirement in 1996. In his retirement, he greatly enjoyed helping his sons with their tree service. He attended Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren. William would do anything for anybody, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Mr. Clark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.

On December 2, 1967, he married Rebecca Clark who survives.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Clark is survived by two sons, William E. “Billy” Clark, Jr., of Waynesboro, Donald C. “Donnie” Clark, and wife Samantha of Waynesboro; two sisters, Juanita Via, Frances Brooks, both of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many special friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Stella Shaffer and Edith Henderson; two brothers, George Clark and Charles Clark; and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 1, 2012 at 2 PM at Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren in Waynesboro with Pastor Larry Black officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The Clark family will receive friends on Saturday from 1-2 pm prior to the service.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Billy Clark, Donnie Clark, Jeremy Clark, Joshua Clark, Tyler Lawhorn, Jacob Clark and Jonah Clark.
