In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Louise Garner, Dora Powell and Ronnie Stevens.
Survivors include his loving wife, Marie Stevens; son, John Stevens (Alyson Wood) of Waynesboro; daughter, Audra Hodge (Audie) of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Colton Hatter (Whitney Morris), Abigail Sours, Rylee Sours; and great-grandchild, Axton Hatter.
He also leaves a brother, Shelton Stevens (Roxanne) of Lynchburg and a sister, Loraine Roche of Richmond.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Earl Monroe officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Colton Hatter, Ronnie Hudson, Barry Watson, Audie Hodge, Roger Garner, Robert Garner and Shelton “Stevie” Stevens.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
Those wishing to attend the service may meet directly at the cemetery.
