Tammy Lynn (Balser) Smith, 38, of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday June 21, 2012.
Mrs. Smith was born on October 21, 1973 in Waynesboro and was a daughter of Nelson and Harriett (Mustard) Balser, who survive. Tammy worked for Hershey Chocolate for a number of years, and most recently worked as a product inspector for Cadence. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, bowling and lived for the moment. She was always joking with friends and family and was full of life.
In addition to her parents, Tammy is survived by her husband, David Lee Smith; four sons, Johnathan Balser of Stuarts Draft, Tristin Tomlin of Waynesboro, Arik Atkins of Grottoes, Gabe Atkins of Grottoes; a daughter, Denise Smith of Staunton; a brother, Michael Balser of Churchville; two sisters, Carrie LaPointe of Sugar Hill, GA, Amy Balser and fiancé Travis Henderson of Stuarts Draft; niece and nephews, Kimberly, Matthew, Tyler, Brandon, Courtney, Ashlyn, Blake, Cody, Serenity, Sidney, Lane, Rileigh, Emma; maternal grandfather, Ralph Allen Mustard; paternal grandmother, Leona Balser; mother-in-law Brenda Smith.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday June 25, 2012 at 7 pm at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends following the service.
