Shelby Jean "Jeannie" Green

Born May 27, 1961 in Montgomery, WV she was a daughter of Zelta Elzada Moore Legg.

Jeannie worked at Marshall’s as a clerk, union steward, safety captain, attributor and a processor. She also worked as a Medical Technician and CNA before going to Marshall’s.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her fiancé Kenneth Hartman, six children, Jerry E. Rader, Jr. of Verona, Stevenson T. Green, Jr. and wife Tina of Raphine, Nicole D. Green of Staunton, Ashley A. Green and Jason Elkins of Staunton; eight siblings, Iva “Lois” Morton, Linda Freeman, Butch Legg, Susie Plank, David Legg, Kathy Connelly, Ricky Legg, Tommy Legg; 7 grandchildren, Tylar, Gracie, Aidyn, Julius, Alex, Kolten, Shawn and a number of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Zelta “Lee” Morton; nieces, Terri and Kathy Jo Freeman and a nephew, Jeffrey Lam.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 10 am from the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ms. Green’s honor to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital
