Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Junior Cleveland and Janie Lanelle Keen.
She is survived by her greatest love, daughter, Janie Vess (Jarrett); adored grandchildren, Karley and Dakota; sister, best friend and her matching pea in a pod, Becky Catlett (Richard); brothers, Nicky Keen (Debbie) and Ricky Keen (Katie); nieces and nephew, Jennifer Craft Sell (Brandon), Sarah Sorrells (Maverick), Allison Keen, and Nathen Hostetter (Kim); along with several great nephews and nieces, Brylen, Brody (gasoline) and Elsie (fire), Katelyn and Chase.
Sharon spent her working years caring and serving others, she gave without hesitation and always gave that extra Helping Hand. To know Sharon was to know life in color. Her abundance of facial expressions and silly sense of humor would keep anyone on their toes. She sang to the birds, to the heavens and she sang with pure joy.
Her door and “sandwich shop” was always open, as she never knew a stranger. She enjoyed the simplicities of life and making things new again. Everything had purpose. She watched each sunset in awe. To know Sharon was the greatest gift of love. We will continue to color the world bright for her, sing in her tune and watch for her in the sunset. We will love as endlessly as she loved us.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Sharon’s hospice nurse, Jeannie, and hospice aid, Christina for how kind, caring and respectful they were.
