Nora "Patsy" Eloise Gill

Nora Eloise “Patsy” Gill, 85, of Waynesboro, passed away on January 11, 2023 at Brookdale of Staunton. Mrs. Gill was born on April 21, 1937 in Lofton, VA and was the widow of Herbert E. Gill, to whom she was married for 26 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Della Weeks, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her very special friend Reginald D. Farr, and several first and second cousins. She was a member of the Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church in Waynesboro, where she sang in the choir for several years. Her love of music began early at the age of two and would continue throughout her life as she sang in church as well as the Glee Club, school assemblies, PTA Meetings. GE Picnics, and business meetings, as well as restaurants and barn dances. She also sang with the Stolman Family, Wilma Lee and Stony Cooper, Grandpa Jones and wife Ramona. She most recently sang at nursing homes in Waynesboro and Staunton on Sunday Afternoons with the Eastern Gale Gospel Group. She was employed at GE/Genicom in Waynesboro for 39 years as an administrative assistant and professional font designer, working for several department managers. She retired in 1994. A graveside service will be held on Monday January 23, 2023 at 2 PM at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Tim Bohlmann officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
