She was born in North Carolina, on December 18, 1933, a daughter of the late William Roy and Dora Alice (Williams) Davis.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and long time member of First Baptist in Waynesboro.
Survivors include her husband, E. Stuart, Jr.; daughters, Cathy Crow Crowder and husband Robin of Waynesboro, Terry Crow of Waynesboro, Judy Musick and husband Scott of Waynesboro, Rebecca Crow Lister and husband Doug of Lebanon, Pa., brothers, William Roy Davis, Jr, Charles Edward Davis, both of North Carolina; grandchildren, Stuart Crowder, Heather Smith, Marcus Crowder, Christopher Hewitt, Emily Lawson, Shelby Lister, Bryn Lister and twelve great grandchildren.
Nina loved sports and she played high school basketball. She and the Valley Ladies held season tickets for the Women’s UVA basketball team and went to as many games as they could. Her favorite women’s basketball teams were North Carolina State, University of South Carolina and UVA.
Nina also loved music and was a long-time member of the First Baptist chancel choir. She loved teenagers and worked with FBC’s youth, taking several summer mission trips to do various service projects. Additionally, she was on the church’s cooking team.
Nina and Stu were going to celebrate their 70th anniversary on July 2nd. Together, they traveled to numerous places, and some of her favorite trips were to the Holy Land and with their children to Hawaii for their 50 anniversary. One of their favorite activities was vacationing with their family at Emerald Isle, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Waynesboro with Sr. Pastor Justin Moser officiating.
A reception will follow in the fellowship hall following the service.
A private family burial will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Augusta Health Foundation, Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, WARM and First Baptist Church of Waynesboro.
