Mary Candace Dyson

Mrs. Dyson was born on April 16, 1952 in Texarkana, TX and was a daughter of the late Jesse Earl and Betty Jane (Martin) Patton. Candy was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ. She also enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time on the water. Mrs. Dyson was a social butterfly and loved being with her friends and family.

In 1971, she married Johnny Wayne Dyson, who preceded her in death on January 12, 2008

Mrs. Dyson is survived by her son, Jamie Dyson and wife Amy of Grottoes; siblings, Martin Patton and wife Lynette of Biloxi, MS, Theresa Duncan and husband Danny of Waynesboro; half-sisters Sandra Patton of Saratoga, AR, Lena Thompson of Lewisville, TX; three grandchildren, Elyse, Haven, and Camdyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be held privately at Augusta Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the Waynesboro Church of Christ, P.O. Box 895, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
