Margaret P. Sorrells

Born December 3, 1931 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late George and Edith (Scrogham) Plecker.

Margaret was a lifelong member of Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren where she helped teach Sunday School for many years. She loved to play the piano and spend time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Eugene Sorrells and one niece, Sharon Robinson.

Survivors include her loving children, Linda Smith and husband, James of Crimora, Joyce Anderson and husband, Warren of South Carolina and Larry Sorrells and wife, Leigh Anne of Staunton; grandchildren, Joshua Lenker, Hannah Crawford, Jacob Lenker, Joseph Lenker, Emma Sorrells, Maggie Sorrells, Jacob Sorrells and Robbie Smith; three great grandchildren, Charles Crawford, Cadence Lenker and Kooper Smith; siblings, Homer Plecker of Waynesboro, Janet Simmons of Harrisonburg and Jean Clark of Stuarts Draft.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren, Crimora, with Pastor Galen Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Joshua Lenker, Jacob Lenker, Joseph Lenker, Steve Lenker, Robbie Smith and Bobby Robinson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St.
