Judy Elkins Dunaway

Judy Elkins Dunaway of Waynesboro went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 12, 2014, at the Augusta Health Center surrounded by her children. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hettie Elkins and her husband Gary Dunaway. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Hahn; her son and daughter in law, Jeff and Cathy Fry; daughter, Dee Dee Martin and son Darrin Dunaway; 5 grandchildren: Jeremy Hahn, Sean Fry, Sara Baggett, Brady Kirby, Crystal Robertson and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, George Elkins, Jr., and sister Barbara Cobaugh and her husband Rick, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Judy was a successful business woman who owned and operated J.D. Dental Lab in Waynesboro. Judy would make herself available to anyone in need without giving it a second thought. Selflessness was at the core of who she was. She was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends out by her pool.

The family will receive friends at the home of Jeff and Cathy Fry, 1836 North Talbott Place, Waynesboro on Tuesday, January 14th at 6:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held at Augusta Memorial Park in Fishersville, VA, Wednesday, January 15th at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Waynesboro Rescue Squad.
