Born May 19, 1947 in Suffolk, VA, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Virginia (Dare) Nichols.
Prior to retirement, Judy was employed by Kmart where she was worked as an assistant manager for 37 years. Judy was a talented seamstress and painter. She greatly enjoyed creating crafts, knitting, and embroidery work. Until recent years, Judy was a huge supporter of the March of Dimes and participated in the walk annually. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Sylvia Johnson; and one brother, Danny Nichols.
Survivors include her two sons, Larry Thomas Hamilton of Waynesboro and Mack Stewart Hamilton, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Wynter R. Hamilton, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Anthony Hamilton, Alexis Morgan, Anastasia Morgan, Jacob Hamilton, and Timothy Tomlin; three step-grandchildren, Skye Adamms, Jaye Beverlin, and Hunter Phipps; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
