He was born January 9, 1957, in NJ to the late Leann Pudder and Forest Willard Louk.
On December 21, 1979, he married Ellen Ayres Louk, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Sheila and Shawn McLaughlin of Churchville, John Louk Jr. and his wife, Rosemary of Mt. Crawford, and Nicholas. John had five grandchildren, Jade Huntley, Leah Terry, Jude Louk, Gabby Louk, and Aubrey Wheeler. He is also survived by a special friend, Kathie Schultz.
John was the 12th of 13 children. Surviving siblings are Janet White, Jacqueline Gear, Josephine Snyder, Judy Toliver, Janice Springfield, Joseph Louk and Jerl Louk.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
John was a subcontractor for 25 years for Davenport Insulation. He was a member of the Verona Moose and absolutely loved playing cornhole over the years. He also played horseshoes, softball, bowling and coached little league. He liked to spend his time with family, outside or just drinking beer.
Over the past five years, John helped his daughter raise his youngest granddaughter, Aubrey. They shared a very special relationship and many of his family said she gave him the will to live and brought a new light into his life when she was born.
John also raised dachshunds with his daughter, and considered them all his babies. He leaves behind Ollie, Pepper, Daisy, and CC.
