Born October 4, 1965 in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Herbert Franklin and Lelia Ann (Powell) Johnson.
Frankie was a member of Mountain View Full Gospel Church. As an avid outdoorsman, he greatly enjoyed going fishing. He will be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and friend to many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen (Hutchinson) Johnson.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Sara McKenzie Johnson and boyfriend, Noah Terrell of Waynesboro; sisters, Wanda Williams and husband, Stan of Clermont,FL, Sue Smith and husband, Granville of Faber, Va, and Freda Sullivan and husband, Ulysses of Afton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Temple Hutchinson of Waynesboro; brother-in-law, Keith Hutchinson and wife, Robin of Port Republic, Va; a number of nieces and nephews; and his k-9 granddog, Brady.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, 66 Tanbark Dr., Afton with Pastor Scott Jewell officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
