He was born on April 5, 1938 to the late Lemuel Chapman and Lillian Jones Wyant.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Giles Wyant; sons, Barry (Trish) Wyant, Gary, Bart, Michael and Gabriel (Brittani) Wyant; daughters, Leslie (Tom) Lippa, Rachael (Bill) Cieslak, and Sarah (Todd) Mitchell; and16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his cherished sister, Elizabeth Showers; nephews, Phil and David Showers; and nieces, April Layman and Teresa Tomey.
Henry grew up in Waynesboro, graduated Class of 1955 Wilson Memorial High School, graduated Class of 1959 Bridgewater College and worked in the field of chemistry and product development most of his life. He enjoyed traveling, homesteading and missionary work in other countries.
A private memorial service will be held in late September.
