Glenn Harlow, Sr.

Glenn Junior Harlow, Sr., 85, of Fishersville, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Rockingham County on September 15, 1931, a son of the late Catherine Ramsey.
Glenn worked as a maintenance man for Wilson Memorial High School and retired as a mechanic with Terry Martin Auto Repair. During his younger years, he attended Bethel Tabernacle Church. Glenn had a great passion for music; playing guitar and singing in his band, Glenn Harlow and the Country Road Runners. He was a proud supporter of the Special Olympics. Glenn greatly enjoyed going camping with his family in his own personally designed campers.
In addition to his mother, Glenn was preceded in death by his four siblings ,Delmar and David Benson, Mary Mongold and Madeline Hildebrand. Survivors include his children, Glenn Junior Harlow, Jr. and wife, Brianna of Stuarts Draft and Glenna Via and husband, Stephen of Waynesboro; grandchildren, April Parr and husband, Ethan, Micky Harlow, Alysha Harlow, Trenten Harlow, Samantha Terry, and Damien Terry; a special great grandchild, Emily Parr; as well as his siblings, Arthur Benson, Shirley Jean Fisher, and Polly Ann Thacker.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Dennis Bradley officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the funeral home.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Glenn’s hospice nurse, Monique McEntry for her loving care.
