Doris Jean (Watts) Morris, 76, of Waynesboro went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 16, 2017. She was born in Stuarts Draft on March 9, 1941, a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Marie Virginia (Bayne) Watts.
Doris worked for many years as a cashier at Speedy’s Bait An Tackle.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Jackson Morris and grandson, Greg Coffey.
Survivors include her sons, Jeff Coffey of Greenville, Jack Coffey and wife, Lisa of Fishersville, Hank Coffey and wife, Tracy of Crimora, Maxie Coffey of Waynesboro and Michael Coffey and wife, Linda of New Hope; ten grandchildren, Jeannie Coffey, Tina Marie Coffey, Jacob Fitzgerald, Peyton Coffey, Blake Coffey, Jackson Coffey, Cassidy Coffey, Hank Coffey, Jr., Allen Coffey and Sarah Coffey; siblings, Mary Anne Hodges and husband, Jim Lambert of Waynesboro and Jimmy Watts and wife, Judy of Stuarts Draft; a special great granddaughter, Rachel Tabor; as well as numerous great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Paul F. LaPrevotte officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
