Brenda (Halterman) Jett Propst, 52, of Waynesboro passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born April 16, 1960 in Harrisongburg, VA she was the daughter of George “Squeaky” and Pat Anne (Dodd) Halterman.
Brenda worked as a beautician for many years having been employed with various salons throughout her lifetime and most recently with Adam & Eve Hair Design in Charlottesville. She felt as though her calling was to make people beautiful and she enjoyed visiting clients in area nursing homes in Charlottesville where she would do their hair. She will be remembered by most for having a great love for her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and her pets.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her loving husband, Marshall “Mark” Propst; children, James Jett and wife Becky of Charlottesville and Jessica (Jett) MacGregor and husband Malcom of TN; brothers, Terry Halterman and wife Tonya of AL and Mark Halterman and wife Annette of Waynesboro; step-children, Mark J. Propst of Waynesboro, April D. Propst of Waynesboro, Matthew K. Propst of AL and Joshua V. Propst of Farmville; seven grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main Street, with Rev. Michael Pleasants officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
