Betty was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Aide most of her working years. Betty took most pleasure in loving and caring for her family. She will be remembered for her love of chocolate. Tending to her flowers. A very simple person. If you brought her flowers, she would say she couldn’t thank you for them. There is an old superstition that saying, “thank you” for a flower, or plant, from someone's garden is bad luck. She would smile and say I’m glad you came to see me. Betty’s next words were “Would you like something to eat?” Betty would also always say, “God knows best in all things.”
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Betty Brooks will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren, Crimora with Pastor David Steward officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be A.J. Herron, Christopher Meadows, Theresa Dawson, Brad Funk, Travis Meadows, and Duane Barnes.
