Tim’s life took him on many adventures, both near and far. He proudly served his country as a chef in the U.S. Navy, where he traveled the world, preparing meals with skill and dedication for his fellow sailors. His work in the Navy earned him the respect and admiration of all who served with him. After his military service, Tim brought his culinary talents to Chuck Muer’s restaurant in Wayne, Michigan, where he became a beloved figure in the local community, known not only for his skills in the kitchen but also for his warm heart and jovial spirit.
Tim’s love for life went far beyond the kitchen. A passionate sports fan, Tim was an unwavering supporter of his Detroit Lions and Red Wings. His love for the game was matched only by his devotion to his faith in God, which guided him through both good times and bad. Tim lived with a deep sense of purpose and gratitude, sharing his faith with others and inspiring those around him with his strength, kindness, and conviction.
Above all, Tim was a family man. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he would do anything for those he held dear. Tim was a devoted brother and a cherished uncle. He is survived by his loving siblings, Roger (Kathy) Piper, John Piper, Kim Duncan, Julie Locke, and Amelia Robinette. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys Piper, and his brother, Steve Piper.
Tim’s infectious sense of humor, quick wit, and ability to make others laugh — often with a mischievous grin or a well-timed joke — brought joy to all who knew him. He was a devoted friend and a true source of light in the lives of his loved ones. Tim’s memory will forever be treasured by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
A memorial gathering will be held in Tim’s honor on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Harry J. Will Funeral Homes, 34567 Michigan Avenue, Wayne, MI 48184, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
Tim leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and deep faith that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him
