Robert Alan Young

Robert Alan Young, age 68, passed on June 2, 2013. He was born in Skipton, England and came to America at the age of 18 months. He attended Wayne High School and joined the Army at age 17. He later joined the Navy and served in Vietnam. He is a retiree of General motors.

He is preceded in death by Father Robert Young, mother Winifred Young, sister Martha Wolf, nephew Gerald Sills, grandson Joshua Perry and great grandson baby Palmer. He is survived by brother James Young, nieces Deborah Sills, Stacey Young, & Amber Young, Nephew James Wolf, great-nephews Bruce Calloway, and Jacob Wolf, Matthew Wolf, Andrew Wolf, and Caleb Wolf, great-niece Cheyenne Sills, great-great-nephew Brayden Calloway, loving wife, Susan Perry-Young, of 25 years and 5 children, Lisa Young-Davidson, Michael Perry, Mark Perry, Earl Perry and Laura Perry. Dear grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Avenue, Wayne, on Wednesday June 5 from 2-9 pm, Thursday June 6 from 1-9 pm and the service will follow on Friday June 7 beginning at 5 pm. Memorial donations can be made to American Lung or American Cancer Society.
