Mary Bernadette Fish

Beloved wife of Richard for 55 wonderful years. Loving mother of Wendy (Darren) Cameron, Susan (Joe) Bridgman, and Richard A. Fish. Cherished grandmother of Lindsey and Madison Cameron, Alexander and Sydney Bridgman, Precious and Cali Fish. Dearest sister of Mary Anne, Mary Therese, Mary Frances, and Mary Margaretta. Preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Anne Stinson, and brother, Robert Stinson.

Bern loved casino trips trying to “win big” on the slot machines, putting together puzzles, playing mystery games, and watching reality television. She and Richard enjoyed daily lunches at Mr. Mike’s Grill and weekly breakfasts with her sisters in Wayne. She also enjoyed her monthly pinochle game with her “girls in club” for over five decades. Bern was a devoted member and usher at St. Thomas the Apostle for nearly 50 years. She cherished all of her close relationships with family, friends, and neighbors. Bern will always be remembered for her generosity, charismatic personality, fashion sense, warm smile, sense of humor, and huge heart.

A memorial gathering for Bern will be held Friday, October 1, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Rosary 7pm) at Harry J Will Funeral Home in Wayne. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. (in state 9:30 a.m.) at St. Thomas the Apostle (previously St. Raphael) in Garden City.
