Glendon Eugene Edwards

March 30, 1940 to June 20, 2022

Born on March 30, 1940 in Center, Shelby County Texas to James William Edwards and Opal Caroline (Wilson) Edwards. He lived in Texas until 2019 when he was moved to Wayne, MI., so he could be cared for by family. He passed away at the age of 82 on June 20, 2022. He was predeceased in death by his parents James and Opal and brother James Waymon Edwards and his wife of 42 years, Wanda Joyce (Dunn) Edwards.

He is survived by his son’s Terry (Brenda) Edwards and Garry Edwards. Grandsons Jonathan Edwards, Philip (Jessie) Edwards and Benjamin Edwards. Great Grandchildren Tasha, Tonya, Lilly, Elijah, Annabelle, Samuel and Gabrielle.

He was a Vietnam era veteran of the Air force where he served honorably and he was also a valuable part of CrossWalk Community Church of the Nazarene Westland, MI. Prior to being moved to Wayne he lived with his wife Wanda for 27 years in Troup, Texas. Where they were beloved and respected in their small-town community and UMC church.

Glendon's life was celebrated with a Memorial Service on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at CrossWalk Community Church of the Nazarene.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to be made in Glendon's honor to CrossWalk Community Church of the Nazarene in Westland, MI, or the United Methodist Church in Troup, Texas.
