Dana Robert Burns was born on June 14, 1947 to his parents, James and Hazel Burns in Detroit, Michigan. Dana passed away on January 4, 2024 at age 76.
Father of Garrett (Michelle) Burns, grandfather of Alena, Michael, Kazhmier, Andre, Alyssa and Amanda, dear partner and longtime friend of Diane Black.
Dana was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Navy; he was a longtime member of the American Legion. He enjoyed his motorcycles and rescuing animals. He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of his life will be planned at a later date. Dana will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
