Robert Glenn Smith

Robert Smith went to be with his Lord Thursday, December 21, 2017. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 1, 1938. He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Lillian; his brother Richard Smith, sisters; Doris Doxey, Donna Scrivener, and Patricia Walker; his in-laws Edwin (Myrtle) and Julia Wolf.

Robert is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Nyla, his children; Robert (Lesa) Smith, Paul (Joyce) Smith, Terry (Richard) Blaauw, Eric (Julie) Smith, Penny (Sean) VanDommelen, Darrin (Julie) Smith, Chad (Melissa) Smith; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; siblings, Russ (Shirley) Smith, Ron (Linda) Smith, Mike (Gwen) Smith, Greg (Sandy) Smith, Bruce (June) Smith, and Patricia Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, going to auctions, car races, the family cabin, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Bob’s family will meet with relatives and friends Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 5-8PM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church - 4125 18th St. Dorr, Michigan with the funeral service being held at 11AM Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. Peters Lutheran Church – 4125 18th St., Dorr, Michigan. 

Contributions may be made to the family for final expenses
