Jimmie Dale Britton Sr., age 87, went to be with his Lord Saturday, August 7, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Katherine (Dominiak) Britton; children Christie (Jon) Biggs, Mollee (Brian) Jensen, Amy Britton, Cindy Britton, Jimmie (Laura) Britton, Jill (Jamey) Burkhead; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; special cousin, Allen Plum; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jimmie proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Michigan Bell Telephone for 38 years. Jimmie was a member of St. Therese since 1962 and was with the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years. He loved to fish, hunt, golf, but most of all loved Buckeye football.
A funeral Mass will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St., Wayland, MI 49348, with visitation from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. prior to the service. In memory of Jimmie, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Therese School, Project Hope, Dorr, MI, or Knights of Columbus, Council 4036.
