Waterville- Dominic Jay Richardson, 16, of Waterville passed away June 7, 2012 at his home in the loving arms of his parents, surrounded by friends and family after a long illness with leukodystrophy. Dom’s bright and infectious smile touched many people. He enjoyed going camping but not as much as he liked hanging out with Grampie, watching the Patriots. Dominic is survived by his parents Gary and Kelly Richardson of Waterville, his sister Destini Richardson of Waterville, great-grandmother Jeannette Vigue of Fairfield, grandparents Robert and Georgie Richardson of Freedom, Robert Vigue and Barbara Goodale both of Waterville, aunts and uncles Bruce Richardson and Clarene Cousins of Belfast, Darren and Cindy Richardson of Ellsworth, Robert and Hope Vigue of California, Ashley Tower of Winslow and special aunt and uncle Jennifer Rowe and Jeremy Gordon of Fairfield. Dom also leaves several cousins and many many good friends.
Dominic’s family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Stone, the Waterville Pediatrics Staff, the Barbara Bush Children’s Unit and the teachers and staff of the Waterville School Department for going above and beyond all of our expectations.
A Celebration of Dominic's life will be held at the Waterville Junior High School, 100 West River Rd. Waterville, on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 6-8 pm in the Gymnasium.
