William T. Schaefer

William T. Schaefer 83, of Campbell Hall, NY and formerly of Queens, NY. Went to be with his Lord on July 30, 2017. William was born in Queens Village, NY on June 27, 1934 to Frederick and Lizette (Scholer) Schaefer. He is survived by his Beloved wife Theresa (nee Mastroianni) Schaefer. Devoted father to Theresa and her husband John. William Jr and his wife Kelly and Gregory and his wife Lauren. Cherished grandfather to Jessica, Kristina, Alayna, Alyssa, Emma, Gregory Jr. and Lisette. Loving brother to Patsy, Clare and Sister Helen, Medical Missionaries stationed in Philadelphia. Predeceased by brothers Reverend Monsignor Fred Schaefer and Father Joe Schaefer. William proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War as a professional Tech Mobile Artillery. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church Washingtonville, NY and served as a Eucharistic Minister and CCD Teacher. He wanted to acknowledge to all his love for his Lord Jesus Christ. Visitation will be Wednesday August 2, 2-4 & 7-9pm at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday August 3, 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Avenue, Washingtonville, NY. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Washingtonville.
