Together we mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father, and friend, Richard Parker. Richard was born November 17th 1963 in Brooklyn, NY. He passed away after a courageous battle against cancer on June 12th 2023 while surrounded by his loving family.
Married to the love of his life, Donna, for 33 years, they raised three wonderful children, Gabrielle, Paige, and Erik. Richard also leaves behind a son, Andrew, with whom he recently reconnected with.
Richard was a proud Operating Engineer in New York City. Much of Richard’s life was shaped by his work, where he formed many strong friendships throughout the years. His skill set was varied and plentiful, including numerous certifications and licenses which required time and great effort to achieve. One could say his greatest skill was his way of being able to teach others how to get things done, the Richie way. He was of the mindset that if something needed to be done, he could always find a way to do it.
Richie was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, mowing his lawn, watching movies, having fun, and spending time with his family. Richard would would often say “life is for the living, so go ahead and live your lives.” He believed hard work pays off and that family always comes first.
