Joseph Nunes

He was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 15, 1919 to John Nunes and Violenta Tessada.

Joseph was the widower of Lucy Hune. Joseph was a retired woodworker for Windsor Screen and Weather Stripping.

He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by his family. The Family would also like to thank Joseph’s numerous caregivers at Valley View Health Care Facility.

He is survived by his children, Peter and his wife, Patricia Nunes of Washingtonville and David and wife, Gail Nunes of Stoneybrook, NY; grandchildren: Joseph, Michele, and David Nunes Jr.; great grand-daughter, Alicia; also many nieces and nephews. Joseph is predeceased by a daughter, Mary Nunes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8 from 4-8 p.m. at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, April 9 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville, NY. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY.
