Joan A. Trojahn of Washingtonville, NY entered into rest on August 3, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was 78.

She was born in the Bronx on November 13, 1932 to George Fleischman and Florence Becker Fleischman. Joan was the wife of Harry Trojahn, a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Joan was also a member of the Opals. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who loved everyone she met. She is survived by her husband, Harry Trojahn of Washingtonville, her children: Cathy and husband, Tom Haddock of Highland Mills, NY, Tara and husband, Brian Toohey of Rockaway, NJ, Harry and wife, Terry Trojahn of Budd Lake, NJ, Doreen and husband, Willis Sheppard of Saylorsburg, PA, Scott and wife, Dawn Trojahn of Virginia Beach, VA, Connie and husband, Steve Leenheer of Branchville, NJ, Mark Trojahn and companion, Patrick of Easton, PA; 14 Grandchildren: Tara, Kimberly, Kelly and Tommy Haddock, Chris and Matt Toohey, Harry, Brittany, Brandon, Shawn and Matt Trojahn, Billy and Stephanie Leenheer and Jordan Sheppard, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Bernard Lynch and a sister, Anna Walsh. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7 from 6-8 p.m. and Monday August 8 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday August 9 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church with Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery both of Washingtonville, NY.
