Joan A. McCarthy-Oricht

Joan was pre deceased by her beloved husbands Jerome J McCarthy and Carl Oricht. Her devoted children Fred McCarthy, Tom McCarthy, Joann Greenblatt and her husband Stuart Greenblatt and Kathleen Cone, survive Joan. Loving grandmother to Jayson Greenblatt, Justin Cone, Jeremy Greenblatt, Brett Cone and Wade Cone. Cherished great grandmother to Jayson Greenblatt, Brea Cone and Jaylianis Greenblatt, and her cat – stripe.

Joan was a homemaker for many years, reentered the workforce, and retired from Elmwood Manor Nursing Home in Nanuet, N.Y. Because of her love of people, she made friends easily and touched lives of all those she encountered.

Joan’s passions include her love of music, playing piano, the beach and shopping. She was a member of the Blooming Grove Senior Group and enjoyed attending Bingo weekly. The family thanks Evercare, Mid-Hudson Homecare and Hospice for their unconditional level of care and support.

Visitation will be Thursday November 16, 2017, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY, a prayer service at 7:30pm. Graveside service on Friday November 17, 2017 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Washingtonville.
