Joan S. Greak

Joan S. Greak of Washingtonville, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. She was 62. Joan was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 2, 1949 to Adam and Pearl (Gedalje) Seuferling.

When Joan entered a room her smile was infectious and her laugh was contagious. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren. Her family was the core of her being. She is survived by her beloved children, Daniel A. and his wife, Rosalie Greak of Wallkill, NY and Christine A. Greak of Washingtonville, NY; brother-in-law, Gerald and his wife, Elisa Zaffarese; sister, Barbara and her husband, Hank Leyen of New Windsor, NY; her cherished grandchildren, Talia M. and Daniel S. Greak, as well as many nieces and nephews, and great grandnieces and nephews, cousins and loving friends, who brought so much joy and laughter to her at Valley View Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her sister, Donna Zaffarese. Visitation will be held Friday, March 23, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012, 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washingtonville, NY.
