James R. Barry

James R. Barry, a resident of Blooming Grove, NY, entered into rest on October 25, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center, he was 77. James was born in the Bronx on January 23 1937, to James Sr. and Norma Alkire Barry. He was the husband of Jean E. Barry. James was a loving husband, father and grandfather. James was a retired Con Edison worker and also a retired Bus Driver for the Goshen School District; he did security for the Tomahawk Lake area as well. He is survived by his wife, Jean E. Barry, at home; sons: Richard J. and his wife, Sharon Barry, of Texas, Robert T. and his wife, Julie Barry of Michigan and James J. and his wife, Maria of Highland, NY; grandchildren: Bobby Sue, Thomas, Michael and James M. Barry; sister-in-law, Pat Houser; nieces: Kristen and Dorian Houser; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29th with a service at 8:30 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY 10992. Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 30th at the Orange County Veterans' Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
